The Swapshop
Infographic
The Swapshop is a social start-up with the mission to extend the life of clothing and other fashion items and make swapping the norm. Their initiative started in 2018, with the aim of making fashion consumption more sustainable and circular.
Goal
The goal was to create an easy-to-understand infographic that can be hung up in the shop and also be transferred into an online format.
Challenge
The Swapshop approached Studio Piraat with the brief to create an infographic that clarifies how swapping of items in their stores works.
As the number of clients increased, it became impossible to explain the process to each of them verbally.
Process
In the beginning, it was important to make sure to understand the process myself. Asking questions about it gave a much better insight.
In doing so, you have to put yourself in the shoes of clients and their possible frustrations. An essential part of this iterative process was to test the infographic internally in the team to ensure it really works.
Outcome
The outcome was an infographic that answers all upcoming potential questions when it comes to swapping.
It was printed and placed behind the counter of the shop in Amsterdam.
